CAUTION

  •  Do not disassemble or alter this tester.
  •  When using the battery clips, the red one should be connected with the anode of the battery, and the black clip should be connected with the cathode of the battery.
  •  Do not work anywhere that water could come in contact with the equipment.
  •  Do not drop this tester or subject it to a strong impact.
  •  Do not leave this tester in any location subject to excessive heat for example in direct sunlight or inside a car on a sunny day.
  •  Bolck the wheels of the vehicle with chocks before carring out work such as connecting the tester cable
  • Do not pass the cable for this tester over the engine compartment while the engine is running.
  •  Do not work connect the tester cables etc. while the vehicle is running.
  •  When working anywhere not be easily visible, for example under the vehicle, always remove the key from the ignition to ensure the vehicle cannot be moved.
  • When working near the engine compartment, be careful of the engine and other high-temperature parts

 Standard Components

 Connecton ports 

Indicator lights: There are three indicators (as in the picture),the one in the right is power
indicator, the others are communication signal. Normally, the power indicator should be on
red when connected with the car diagnostic socket, and the signal indicator is green light
while it is starting diagnosing, if not, please contact us.

Working Condition:
1) Turn the vehicle ignition switch on.
2) The Voltage of the vehicle is 12-14V, the voltage of MST-1 is 12V.
3) Make sure the Throttle Valve is closed.
4) Ignition time and Idle speed must be in standard range, the water temperature must
be (90-110℃), the auto transmission temperature must be 50-80℃.

 Connection 

Make sure:
1) The Wireless Box connected with PC and signal indicator flashs in red
2) The software well downloaded as in chapter 2.1.
3) The MST-1 multiplexer properly connected with the car as in the picture(1) or (2) as
belows:

P.S. : If the power supply of digonostic plug with a low battery or damaged, the power
supply can be collected as following:
1. By using ignition lighter cable: Connect the ignition lighter cable with the car
2. By using battery cable: Clip the vehicle’s battery with battery cable

How to use BMW OPPS Diagnose and Programming professionally? Let’s focus on the issue together.

OPPS is intended for rapid programming of control units.
When operated at the SSS, no diagnostic or technical measuring pro-cedures are possible, as no measuring technology is incorporated; in this instance, OPPS / OPS is used predominantly for programming control units (flashing). Communication with the vehicle can be performed both via the MOST and via the OBD interface. The OBD interface is required for the power supply to the OPPS / OPS and has communication properties via which the vehicle can be identified and the data to be programmed can be determined. From CIP version 7.0, it is possible to delete fault code memories via OPPS /BMW ops PRO .

If it success ,the screen will show SSSV37 operating .

At first, Please make sure the antivirus software on your computer is closedwhen you use the hard disk and login into your own computer as systemadministrator.

Have a try. If it doesn’t work. You should change another computer to use it.AboutINSUFFICIENT PERMISSION: no privileges….. Should be the issue of your system. You can change another computer to check.

OPPS’s feature compare with GT1 ,ops:

Actually the three tools BMW GT1, BMW OPS and BMW OPPS share the same software, but the hardware is different make them with different usage.

If you want a tool that can scan all bmw autos, you can use the three together – BMW GT1 + BMW OPS + BMW OPPS.

the BMW GT1, OPS, OPPS all share the same software, the difference is in the hardware, therefore have different functions.
- GT1 is good for old type cars before 2005, it has no optical cable for new car diagnosis;
- OPS is good for newer vehicles, 2005-2010 year, so is OPPS

OPPS has been designed for encoding, individualising and programming ( CIP) via the Software Service Station (SSS) and envisaged for use as part of the BMW diagnostic system (DIS) from DISPlus and Group Tester One (GT1). It is intended for testing and programming tasks from the E65 series, taking the place of the diagnostic head.

OPS is mainly for models after E65 which seems for newer models via OBDII socket and fiber cable (OPS comes with DIS for diagnosis & coding and SSS for programming).
As for the BMW OPPS , i think it is used in automotive factory more often. Common BMW owners dont need such expensive tool, using OPS is full enough.

Introduction

Support EWS 2,EWS 3,EWS 3+:Include 0D46J, 1D47J, 2D47J, 2D47J(with secured) Safe for reading data from EWS (with secured).

Part One: Install hardware
Connect with DC-12V power supply, turn the Mode switch to M1, the indicator light is on, connect the device and PC by USB line. As below picture:

 

On board connect. For EWS2 (MCU Masker 1D47J) , EWS3 (MCU Masker 2D47J) .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In circuit connect. For EWS2 (MCU Masker 2D47J).

If the Serial Port Number is greater than COM4, you must choose the port in COM1-COM4.
Go to [Device Manager], it shows as below:

 

 

 

Choose [BMW KEY (COM5)], right click choose Properties, it shows as below:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Go to [Port Settings] panel, then click [Advanced…], it shows as below: Choose one COM Port Number (COM1-COM4), and then click OK to finish the operation.

 

Part Three: Operations

Key Programmer principle: Use the device to read the data of EWS (anti-thief control box), then write the data into a new key or key-chip. Please note, a key or key-chip can be written just once, can not be rewritten.
That means the old key cannot be programmed again. The key or key-chip which you want to be programmed must be new.
1. M1 (secure) mode
Take the “EWS 3 A” of mask 2D47J as an example. Select this type then click [Zoom in], follow the related operations, click [Next]. As below shows:


Software will remind you switch to M1 mode, the red indicator light should light now, then click [OK] turn into
following screen:

 

Click [Read], then SAVE data, please mark down the save path, usually the default save path is C:\Program Files\BMW_KEY\UserBackfile. Please also memorize the file name, such as [EWS 3 A_2D47J_2001-2006_2007-03-23_0006.BIN]. Save the data then click [MAKE KEY], now it will display as below. In addition, [Open] and [Write] button is used for writing or other purpose by well-informed user. So these two buttons are out of the scope of regular operation.


Operation steps: Switch to M2 mode, the M2 indicator light should light.
First step: Choose the right COM port (COM1-COM4).
Second step: Input the key serial number (0~9), recommend input upward of number 4.
Third step: Open the Key matching file. Find the file on original save path, usually on path
C:\Program Files\ BMW_KEY\UserBackFile. Click [Open].
Forth step: Put the new key or key-chip on the inductive area properly, then click [Insert and program Keys].
