All about online update and transfer x 431 software to CF card

If you buy a online update launch machine, you’ll have to face this problem: How to transfer launch x 431 software to CF card.

This articel will show you all the details.

Once you download the software to desktop.you will notice a new icon has been added to it. You will use this program to transfer software to the CF Card.

Updating the CF Card

1. If you have not already done so, connect one end of the USB cable to
the CF Card Reader and the other end to a free USB port on your PC.

2. Install CF Card into reader.

3. Double-click the X431 Update icon on your Desktop. The X431
Update program opens.

There are two areas on this window to which you need to pay attention.
In the upper left corner is the vehicle list, which is taken directly from
the X431 Downloads folder that is on your local drive. Each vehicle line
title is followed by its version number. Also notice the empty
checkboxes next to each line. You can check these off one by one to
select the lines that you want to make available to the X-431. Or at the
bottom of the list you can check off the Select all checkbox to select all
of the lines in the list. Any programs you load onto the CF Card remain
there until you manually delete them.

The second area is below the vehicle list and contains your Source
folder destination, Target folder destination, and the space statistics for
your CF Card. Your Source folder is the X431 Downloads folder that
you created previously. The Target folder is the CF Card Reader. The
space statistics will change depending on the contents of the x431
update folder and the capacity of the CF Card.

4. To change the Source folder, click the binoculars to the right.

  1. . Select the correct folder, and click OK. (C: -> X431 Downloads)
  2. . If you need to change the Target folder, click the binoculars, select the correct drive, and click OK.

You only want the outermost file in the target drive selected. For
example, if the removable drive is E:, and it has two subfolders, DATA
& GAG, you want the target to read E:, not E:\DATA or E:\GAG. The
update program will place the software into the appropriate folders
automatically.

NOTE • The correct drive is a Removable Disk drive. If you are not
sure which is the right drive, the way to check is when the CF Card is
inserted in the Reader, the correct drive will have two folders in it:
DATA and GAG.

1. Select CarBrain icon and click your right mouse key to see its attribute.
2. Select ’compatibility”
3. Select ’please run this program as administrator” under ’privilege level”.
4. Then Exit to run CARBRAIN software again, then advice me your ID code, if it is same as the previous ID code which you provide to me, then fill the device code and registration code in
the corresponding column to register.

Method 2:
Follow the below step to close UAC: Start→Setting→Control Panel→User Account→Open or Close ’ User Account Control’
Pls delete the icon ’√’ before use administrator control ’UAC’ to help to protect your computer, then confirm and exit to run Carbrain software again to fill the device code and registration code
in the corresponding column to register.

Q: the system of super MB star 2012.11 with moveable hard disk says no communication between the computer and comports
A: the COM port number has to be set as com port1

Q: all systems are activated, but every time I open the software, it asks me again input star key.
A: When the first time you input the star key, you have to click “save”, and set the “lic-key-2 Properties” Read only.

Q: super MB star system prompts “No access authorization code, please contact the star diagnosis call center.”
A: Because the user hasn’t active the software, or not active successful, please provide the seller ID to help active.

Q: super MB star system says “invalidate” how to do?
A: solution one: send us again the HW-ID, Lan-id, we help you active;
solution two: set the computer time the same as that of super MB star version, for example: if super MB star software is 2012.05, set the computer time to between 2012.05.01 and 2012.05.31.
Q: I have one super MB star 2012.11 with moveable hard disk, and when I run DAS, it says “super MB star dongle not found! Please insert the USB Dongle!”
A: Just check the VM settings, please tick before USB key, please set like this: Removable Devices-USBkey-Show in Status Bar

Q: DAS, WIS.NET, EPC.NET and Staruilities run well, but super MB star says “there are no developer model in the driver”.
A: enter DAS, then press F2 F2 F2, select cars, finally you can see F2.
Q: I forgot Super MB star password for update, how to find back?

  •  When working anywhere not be easily visible, for example under the vehicle, always remove the key from the ignition to ensure the vehicle cannot be moved.
  • When working near the engine compartment, be careful of the engine and other high-temperature parts

 Standard Components

 Connecton ports 

Indicator lights: There are three indicators (as in the picture),the one in the right is power
indicator, the others are communication signal. Normally, the power indicator should be on
red when connected with the car diagnostic socket, and the signal indicator is green light
while it is starting diagnosing, if not, please contact us.

Working Condition:
1) Turn the vehicle ignition switch on.
2) The Voltage of the vehicle is 12-14V, the voltage of MST-1 is 12V.
3) Make sure the Throttle Valve is closed.
4) Ignition time and Idle speed must be in standard range, the water temperature must
be (90-110℃), the auto transmission temperature must be 50-80℃.

 Connection 

Make sure:
1) The Wireless Box connected with PC and signal indicator flashs in red
2) The software well downloaded as in chapter 2.1.
3) The MST-1 multiplexer properly connected with the car as in the picture(1) or (2) as
belows:

P.S. : If the power supply of digonostic plug with a low battery or damaged, the power
supply can be collected as following:
1. By using ignition lighter cable: Connect the ignition lighter cable with the car
2. By using battery cable: Clip the vehicle’s battery with battery cable
